Plumes of smoke filled the air after a recreational vehicle caught fire in the Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre’s parking lot on Wednesday afternoon.
No one was injured in the blaze, which gutted the front of the trailer, leaving only the skeleton of the structure.
The Colwood fire department took the lead with assistance from the View Royal fire department. Motorists were asked to avoid Ocean Boulevard and the Island Highway.
