Saanich police are warning residents that a bear sighting was reported on Colquitz Creek Trail near Mann and Glanford avenues about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Police searched the area but did not find a bear or any other witnesses.
Residents are urged to be cautious in that area and keep small pets under control.
