Lindsay Buziak's killing in 2008 has not been solved.

The investigation into the 2008 slaying of a real estate agent in Saanich remains open — despite the claims of her father, police say.

Lindsay Buziak, 24, was repeatedly stabbed on Feb. 2, 2008, in what appeared to have been a planned and possibly hired killing.

Buziak, a real estate agent, was lured to show a home at 1702 De Sousa Pl. in Gordon Head after receiving inquiries from a man and woman posing as buyers.

Her father, Jeff Buziak, said on social media this week that the investigation file was closed.

“FYI. Saanich police have shut down my daughter Lindsay’s murder investigation and reassigned all the officers,” reads a message posted on Tuesday. “I’m gutted and very angry.”

Acting Sgt. Jereme Leslie of Saanich police said the duties of the main officers on the case have not changed, although no one is working on the case on a full-time basis. He said the “triangle command,” the three main officers on such a file remains constant, even if members are promoted or transferred.
