A 55-year-old cyclist who was struck by a cube van in Nanaimo last month has died of his injuries.
The cyclist was struck just before 6 a.m. on Sept. 15 on the Nanaimo Parkway.
He was taken to Nanaimo Regional General Hospital and then airlifted to Victoria General Hospital. He died on Sept. 28, according to the B.C. Coroners Service.
Nanaimo RCMP are investigating what caused the crash.
At the time, Const. Gary O’Brien said the cyclist was not wearing a helmet, had no lights on his bike and was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing.
The man’s name has not been released.
