A 71-year-old North Saanich woman is in critical condition after a single-vehicle crash that closed Lands End Road for hours Monday night.
The woman was driving a grey Jeep SUV on Lands End Road around 3:45 p.m. when the vehicle left the road and came to rest in the trees, said Sidney/North Saanich RCMP spokesman Cpl. Chris Manseau.
North Saanich Fire, B.C. Ambulance, victim services and an RCMP traffic analyst went to the scene. Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.
The woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries and remains in critical condition, Manseau said.
