Fourth arrest made in 2008 double homicide in Mission

VANCOUVER — Another arrest has been made in the 2008 shooting deaths of Mission’s Lisa Dudley and her boyfriend, Guthrie McKay, according to the RCMP’s Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.

Spokeswoman Sgt. Jennifer Pound announced the weekend arrest on her Twitter account Sunday evening, saying the accused is set to appear at Surrey provincial court Monday morning at 9:30 a.m.

Bruce Main, a 66-year-old Maple Ridge man, pleaded guilty to two counts of manslaughter and was sentenced to eight years in prison Friday at a New Westminster courthouse. He will serve one year less for time served.

Dudley, 37, was found clinging to life on Sept. 22, 2008, at a home in Mission, four days after she was shot in what was called a targeted attack. She died shortly after in hospital. McKay, 33, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other men were also charged. Jack Douglas Woodruff pleaded guilty to two counts of first-degree murder in 2011 and is serving a life sentence. Justin Andrew MacKinnon remains in pre-trial custody.
