Character from the movie Deadpool, starring Ryan Reynolds, is seen running and jumping over cars on the Georgia viaduct in Vancouver last week.

Vancouver police are looking into a possible hit-and-run incident involving Vancouver-born actor Ryan Reynolds.

Police were called to the luxury Shangri-La Hotel on Friday after the actor, currently in Vancouver shooting the superhero flick Deadpool, was reportedly involved in an altercation with a local paparazzo photographer in the parking lot just before he was hit by a car.

Sources told The Province newspaper that the photographer took photos of the movie star, then jumped in his car and hit Reynolds while driving quickly off hotel property.

Reynolds fell to the ground.

Vancouver Police Const. Brian Montague confirmed police investigated the incident and that Reynolds was involved.

Montague said there were no injuries.

"Unfortunately I have not been given an update on the case and don't know the outcome or how things have progressed with confirming who the driver is, locating and speaking with him," Montague said in an email.

The Shangri-La hotel said in a statement that a “guest was involved in an incident involving a private motor vehicle while in the hotel’s residential parking lot.”
