VANCOUVER — Three people have been arrested in connection to the slashing of a teen boy and girl outside a Vancouver SkyTrain station on Sunday.

Officers were called to the Main Street-Science World Station after receiving reports of a fight involving bear spray around 5:30 p.m., according to Sgt. Randy Fincham, a spokesman for the Vancouver Police Department.

A 15-year-old girl and a 15-year-old boy were both slashed during the fight and were taken to hospital to be treated for serious injuries. They were in stable condition as of late Sunday.

Two men and a woman were arrested around 9:30 p.m. and are being held in custody while the investigation continues. Police say both the suspects and the victims are known to them and the attack does not seem to be random.

Investigators from the VPD’s major crime section are working on determining a motive for the slashing.
