The Comox Valley Airport Commission has appointed Frank van Gisbergen and Susan Toresdahl to its board of directors. Van Gisbergen has owned a travel agency and held positions with Canadian, Air Canada Jazz and WestJet, most ecently expanding WestJet's operations in Hawaii and starting up in New York. He succeeds Darlene Neuman as the Economic Development Society nominee for a three-year term. Toresdahl is the former executive director of the North Island College Foundation and its director of community relations. She spent eight years on the Comox Valley Economic Development board (four as president). Her term as a member at large is for two years and she replaces Christine Gibson.
