Bids are rolling in and more are expected for Pacific Sands Beach Resort, south of Tofino, owned by the Pettinger family.
Randy Holt, vice-president in DTZ Victoria Real Estate Ltd., confirmed that since the waterfront property went to market in August, interest has come from within Canada and offshore. He did not give details on the number of submissions or bid values.
Expressions of interest, through non-binding letters of intent, are being considered. “The owners are reviewing the submissions received. There are still others that are expected to come in the days ahead. Then there will be negotiations that will have to remain confidential for as long as it takes,” Holt said.
Pacific Sands overlooking Cox Bay has 77 units on 41 acres, two houses and other buildings.
