Royal Roads University is getting $17.4 million from the provincial government this year. Most of the money will go to operating the West Shore campus while $2.75 million is earmarked as capital investment to improve roadways and modernize existing fire alarm systems. The $17.4 million is nearly double the $8.9 million invested by the province in 2001-02. Almost $17 million in capital investments have been made at Royal Roads since 2001, including construction of the new Learning and Innovation Centre.
