The United Way Central and Northern Vancouver Island is collecting and publishing updates on any changes to services offered by community organizations.
Vulnerable populations are at increased risk as some services change amid the current COVID-19 crisis. That is why the United Way and the Nanaimo Homeless Coalition are gathering information for a central database available to the public.
Information is online at uwcnvi.ca. The site will be updated as often as possible, said a statement from the a United Way.
The Central and Northern Vancouver Island United Way is working to with other United Way organizations across the country to better understand the challenges and to be able make recommendations to government about where the need is the greatest.
