VANCOUVER — It’s not every day a rock star uses social media to find a band, but that’s what Bryan Adams is doing.
The rocker, who came out of the Vancouver music scene of the late-1970s after moving to North Vancouver with his mother, has asked his Twitter followers to send him recommendations for a high school marching band.
Specifically, he needs them for an outdoor video shoot in Vancouver, he says in the tweet.
Adams adds in a separate tweet that the shoot is Monday, as long as the weather holds, so it appears the Summer of ‘69 singer will be spending some of the last days of the summer of ‘21 making a video.
The request was posted to Adams’ Twitter account. So far, a couple of school representatives have tweeted back at him, suggesting their bands.
Adams signed a new record deal in July with plans to release new music later this year.
