A screening of film festival favourite Open For Submissions held at the Vic Theatre tonight will raise money for Ukraine relief.
Open For Submissions is a Victoria production from co-writer/director Bryan Skinner. The mockumentary was screened at the Victoria Film Festival in 2020, where it played to a packed house at The Odeon Theatre. Skinner is hosting tonight’s by-donation event, and will be joined by members of the cast, including Tyler Parr and John Emmet Tracy, who currently plays Ellis Steele on the hit series Yellowstone.
All money raised will be donated to organizations associated with Ukraine relief, according to Skinner.
The event starts at 6:30 p.m. The Vic Theatre (808 Douglas St.) is a licensed venue so minors are not permitted. To register for the event, visit OpenForSubmissions.com.
