Three pop stars from the 1980s have joined together for a cross-Canada tour that will get underway Sept. 25 in Victoria.
Paula Abdul is headlining the Straight Up! To Canada Tour, which spans 21 dates through Oct. 25. The former American Idol judge and Grammy Award winner was a huge draw during her heyday, and set a record for having the most chart-topping singles from a debut album, 1988’s Forever Your Girl, with four. Abdul, 61, will be joined on the dates by Taylor Dayne and Tiffany, who each scored No. 1 hits of their own in 1987.
Tickets for the tour kick-off at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre box office (250-220-7777) or selectyourtickets.com.
