Rock and Roll Hall of Famers the Beach Boys will kick off their Canadian tour in Victoria next year, promoter Live Nation announced Monday.
The group, which is currently led by co-founder Mike Love, will play three dates in B.C. as part of its 11-date tour, starting with the band’s March 22, 2025, stop at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre. The hitmakers behind some of the biggest hits in American pop music history will also perform March 23 in Vancouver and March 24 in Kelowna as part of its Endless Summer Gold Tour.
According to information available at press time, the line-up no longer includes songwriter and chief artistic contributor Brian Wilson. Love and Bruce Johnston are the only members from the 1960s lineup currently performing the group.
The Beach Boys last performed on Vancouver Island in 2016. Wilson, who suffers from an undefined neurocognitive disorder, was among the headliners at Colwood’s Rock the Shores festival in 2018.
Tickets go on sale Nov. 29 at 10 a.m. through the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre box office (250-220-7777) or online from selectyourtickets.com and livenation.com.
