A busy two weeks of activity for Metchosin rocker Jesse Roper — which includes seven live concerts at the Breakwater Tasting Room — gets underway Thursday with an airborne interview 8,500 feet above Vancouver Island.
Roper is the inaugural guest of Radio Chatter, a YouTube talkshow created and hosted by Victoria native Mathew Mosveen. During the interview, which premieres at 4 p.m. Thursday on Radio Chatter’s YouTube channel, Roper plays the role of co-pilot as Mosveen flies his four-seater Cessna 172 over several Vancouver Island landmarks, including Strathcona Provincial Park and Della Falls, Canada’s highest waterfall.
Tickets for Roper’s concert series at the Breakwater Tasting Room on Dallas Road went on sale at noon Wednesday and sold out in four minutes. The Hurricane’s Eye hitmaker will perform solo concerts at 8 p.m. nightly from June 30-July 2, and at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. July 3-4.
Tickets are $30. Only 44 tickets were available for each show, due to COVID-19 regulations.
