Nathan Fielder has signed a one-year deal with HBO that will see the University of Victoria graduate write, direct and star in a comedy pilot in addition to executive-producing an upcoming docuseries for the network, Variety reported.
Fielder, 36, had four seasons of Nathan for You, his popular comedy series on Comedy Central. How To…With John Wilson, a first-person documentary series hosted by Wilson, will be the first project in his new deal with HBO.
The comic and deadpan funnyman has also been tagged to produce a comedy pilot for HBO in which he will star. Work has yet to begin on that project.
His most recent productions for TV were as co-director and writer of two episodes in the inaugural season of Who is America?, the political satire series created by Sacha Baron Cohen.
