• Walk the docks to see more than 200 yachts readying for action. Ask the skippers about their boats, stand back and let them go.
• Look sharp for Capt. Jack Sparrow and Scarlett, expected to be wandering the Inner Harbour.
• Chance to buy Swiftsure souvenirs and memorabilia.
• Beer garden at Swiftsure Central in Steamship Grill & Bar with live music 8-11 p.m.
Saturday, May 28
Clover Point
• 8 a.m. pancake breakfast by Central Saanich Lions Club
• Traditional blessing of the fleet by elders from the Songhees and Esquimalt First Nations.
• 9 a.m. Starting gun from HMCS Whitehorse sets off the first of five races with subsequent starts setting off 10 minutes apart.
• After the start of the final race, watch a Cormorant helicopter from RCAF 442 Squadron, Comox perform a search-and-rescue demonstration.
Sunday, May 29
Ogden Point Breakwater
• The breakwater is the best spot to see the finishers, although they may have arrived during the early morning hours, depending on wind and ocean conditions.
• The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority will be hosting a market in the Inner Harbour with food vendors and other stalls throughout the day.
Monday, May 30
• 6 a.m. official race closing. All boats must be finished.
