Brad Smith nailed it when he said "This is so surreal" before he tearfully popped the question on Bachelor Canada Wednesday night.
When bachelor Brad proposed to Bianka in Barbados, it ended mounting speculation over whether he'd choose the Croatian Toronto-based nurse or Whitney, the fiercely competitive Calgary administrative assistant who famously said: "Brad's mine."
The former CFL player returned to the Caribbean island where he had decided to settle down to choose which - if any - of 25 bachelorettes he'd want to do that with.
It's a good thing he picked Bianka, since earlier in Wednesday night's episode, she remarked: "It will be devastating if he doesn't propose."
The series was filmed last spring at a luxury home on Bear Mountain - the "mansion" where the bachelorettes lived.
"I'm crazy in love with you and I can't wait to spend my life with you," said Bianka.
"That's an easy segue for me," said Brad, before he got down on bended knee while dramatic piano music played.
Before making his big decision, Brad took the two finalists to his hometown of Hudson, Que., for separate dates, and to meet his family.
