Musical Bouquets for Emily is a spectacle performed by the Emily Carr String Quartet, a musical ensemble whose music is inspired by the artist's diverse body of art works.
According to the group, their repertoire not only represents the artist's experience when living here, but also the spirit of Canada's West Coast. They perform both traditional and new, lesser-known works.
The two-hour performance, which takes place today and Friday, features a wide variety of music and readings from Carr's journals.
The concerts are made possible in part by a grant from the City of Victoria 150 Celebrations.
