People on cholesterol-lowering statins may have a smaller risk of dying from pneumonia, but the link may be weaker than has been suggested, a new analysis found.
The analysis was carried out at the University of Michigan Health System in Ann Arbor.
Studies have found that statin users appear to have lower odds of developing pneumonia, but no one knows if the cholesterol drugs should take the credit.
