take a leisurely walk in the forest with a CRD Regional Parks naturalist to learn more about the nature and uses of the evergreens around us. The guided walk among the towering giants ends with a warm cup of forest tea.

The walk is not recommended for anyone younger than eight. It runs from 1 to 2: 30 p.m. Meet at the nature centre off Munn Road at Francis/King Regional Park.

? Bring a pair of binoculars to Sunday's Winter Birds of Witty's program. Join a CRD Regional Parks naturalist to find out who's who at Witty's Lagoon Regional Park. See which birds prefer to spend their winters at the park, a favourite hangout, instead of flying south. Spotting scopes are provided. The event is geared to those nine and older, and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.

Meet at the nature centre off Metchosin Road at Witty's Lagoon Regional Park. Wear sturdy footwear and dress for the weather, as programs take place rain or shine.

Try to arrive 10 minutes before the start of the program, and leave pets at home.
