Feeling Crabby is a dropin event taking place today at Island View Beach Regional Park, Central Saanich.
People who drop in between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. can meet local crabs and their crusty cousins.
Expect to see red, green, smooth and hairy crabs.
A Capital Regional District naturalist will help people look for crabs under rocks, have a crab race and make a craft.
Organizers say be prepared to get your feet wet, and wear sandals or beach shoes.
The event is free. It runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
People should meet at the picnic shelter on Homathko Road, off Island View Road.
