Country singer Randy Travis was charged with driving while intoxicated after he crashed his car and was found naked at the scene, then threatened highway patrol officers, authorities said.
It was Travis's second arrest this year. In February, he was stopped for public intoxication.
Travis's Pontiac Trans Am was driven off a road near Tioga Tuesday, said Tom Vinger of the Texas Department of Public Safety. Travis refused sobriety tests so a blood specimen was taken, Vinger said. The results are pending.
Vinger said Travis made threats against Texas Highway Patrol troopers.
Travis, 53, was released on bail Wednesday pending a court appearance.
A spokesman for Travis would not comment.
