An unspecified mechanical issue has led to a pair of cancellations on BC Ferries sailings between Nanaimo’s Duke Point and Tsawwassen.
The 3:15 p.m. sailing of the Queen of Alberni from Tsawwassen and the 5:45 p.m. sailing from Duke Point have both been called off.
“We appreciate your patience and apologize for any inconvenience you may experience as a result of these cancellations,” BC Ferries said in a statement.
Anyone with a booking on either sailing will be contacted by the customer-service centre about whether they can be accommodated on an alternate sailing, or if their booking has to be cancelled.
Refunds will be issued for cancelled bookings.
