Police dog Bruno played a key role in getting a robbery suspect to surrender Sunday in the 2800-block of Douglas Street.

Victoria police were called about 7:45 p.m. to Douglas between Hillside and Topaz avenues after a male allegedly pointed a can of mace at the victim inside a business before stealing cash and an iPhone.

Police tracked the iPhone to the suspect nearby on Topaz, and said it took only one bark from Bruno to convince the man to give up.

The suspect was arrested and the cash and iPhone were recovered
