Campbell River man arrested in home-invasion case

A 27-year-old Campbell River man will appear in court this afternoon in connection with a home invasion in Saanich on Monday night.

A 27-year-old Campbell River man will appear in court this afternoon in connection with a home invasion in Saanich on Monday night.

Saanich police announced that the suspect was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the Campbell River area and has been remanded in custody.

An 85-year-old man was sent to hospital with serious head injuries while his daughter was treated for minor injuries after the home invasion.

Police are still looking for a 1999 brown Toyota Camry, B.C. licence plate number HWM644, which was stolen from the home.
