Campbell River RCMP seize drugs, cash and weapons in raid

RCMP in Campbell River seized a large stash of drugs, cash and weapons during a raid on Sept. 6 at a location in the 900 block of Island Highway South.

A 39-year-old man and 40-year-old woman, both from Campbell River, were arrested at the scene and released with a future court date, police said.

The Campbell River Street Crime Unit with assistance from the Major Crime Unit and Community Response Unit executed a search warrant as part of a drug-trafficking investigation.

Officers found more than 100 grams of fentanyl, 70 grams of powder cocaine, 40 grams of crack cocaine and a significant amount of hydromorphone pills.

Police also seized a large sum of cash, firearms, replica handguns and other weapons, including a prohibited conducted-energy weapon and switchblade.
