Saanich police continue to hunt for suspects who crashed a stolen car through a two-metre hedge on the weekend.

About 4 a.m. Saturday, witnesses in the 2700 block of Foul Bay Road reported seeing people running after the car they were in went through a hedge and was stopped by a tree.

Saanich police determined the vehicle had been stolen from the 1900 block of Haultain Avenue just prior to the crash.

An examination of the vehicle for forensic evidence has failed to lead to any arrests, and the investigation continues, said Sgt. Steve Eassie.

Saanich police are asking anyone with information to call them at 250-475-4321 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
