Central Saanich councillor steps down after winning Green party nod

Central Saanich has lost its second councillor in a matter of months. Adam Olsen resigned his seat on Central Saanich council Monday night after winning the nomination for the Green Party of B.C. in Saanich North and the Islands on Sunday.

Adam Olsen resigned his seat on Central Saanich council Monday night after winning the nomination for the Green Party of B.C. in Saanich North and the Islands on Sunday.

The resignation of Olsen, elected to council in 2008, took effect Tuesday.

Terry Siklenka resigned in November after moving to the Cayman Islands.

A date for a byelection to replace both councillors has not been set.
