Colliers Canada has been hired to develop an economic feasibility plan for the former site of Oak Bay Lodge, which has since been demolished.
The goal is to look at how to develop the rocky 1.6-hectare property, which is expected to be used for health purposes by an anchor tenant.
Work includes examining previous studies carried out for the site at 2251 Cadboro Bay Rd.
Colliers began work in the spring and is expected to be finished before year’s end, Island Health said in a statement Tuesday.
The health authority, Capital Regional Hospital District — which owns the site — and District of Oak Bay are partnering on the project.
A request for proposals for a feasibility study of the land was issued in February by Island Health.
