A design change has pushed the estimated completion date for the $15.9-million Craigflower Bridge, which connects View Royal and Saanich, back to June from mid-May of next year.
The change calls for the addition of steel plates to strengthen the bridge, which is designed to withstand a major earthquake.
Construction began in April, but difficulties in obtaining steel delayed the schedule.
