Members of the church came across the window about 10 p.m. Saturday. They saw a strange man leaving the church, but were unaware of the break-in at the time.

Donations that had been locked inside the church office were missing, Victoria police said.

The person seen in the area is described as five foot 10 with a thin build, black curly hair and a light scruffy beard. He was wearing black pants and a black nylon jacket.
