Ladysmith RCMP are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash Monday night in the southbound lanes of the Trans-Canada Highway near Nanaimo Airport.
Police responded to the crash of a Nissan 350Z south of Aqua Terra Road about 10:30 p.m.
Despite life-saving efforts, the 19-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The highway was closed for several hours as police investigated.
The cause of the crash hasn’t been determined.
