Driver sought after vehicle hits Nanaimo gas station

The driver spoke to the clerk but did not give her name or any contact details before leaving.

Nanaimo RCMP have released a photo of a woman who is alleged to have backed into the Shell gas station at 199 Nicol St. about 12:30 a.m. Dec. 30.

Police said the impact of the vehicle caused significant damage to the building.

After it happened, the driver went inside to speak to the clerk and acknowledged what happened, but did not give her name or any contact details before leaving.

The vehicle’s plate number was not obtained.

The driver is described as white and between the ages of 35 and 45. She was wearing glasses and had her brown hair tied back.

Police ask anyone with information to call Nanaimo RCMP at 270-754-2345.
