A 3.6-magnitude earthquake below Ucluelet was felt across the mid-Island this morning just after 9 a.m.
According to Natural Resources Canada, the earthquake was 37 kilometres deep and was felt in the Ucluelet and Port Alberni areas. No damage or injuries were reported.
Anecdotes about the shaking fired up on social media with people as far as Nanaimo reporting they felt the earthquake or heard a rumbling.
