The B.C. Centre for Disease Control is warning passengers about possible exposure to COVID-19 on four Vancouver Island flights in the days leading up to Christmas.
The flights include Harbour Air Seaplanes flight 220 from Victoria Harbour to Vancouver Harbour on Dec. 23 and Pacific Coastal Airlines flight 8P715 from Vancouver to Campbell River on Dec. 22. The affected seats were not reported.
Passengers in rows 15 to 19 on WestJet flight 3109 from Calgary to Nanaimo on Dec. 20 were in close proximity to someone with the virus and are being advised to self-monitor for symptoms for 14 days.
WestJet flight 3171 from Calgary to Comox on Dec. 18 also had a passenger with a confirmed COVID-19 case and passengers in rows 1 to 5 are at highest risk of exposure.
Symptoms of the virus include fever, chills, cough or worsening of chronic cough, shortness of breath, sore throat, loss of sense of smell or taste, runny nose, headache and fatigue, according to the BCCDC.
