Saanich police say a "high-risk" woman who had been reported missing has been located.
The 30-year-old, who police said “operates intellectually as a pre-teen” and does not speak English, moved into a new residence near Inverness Road and Tolmie Avenue on Monday and wandered away Tuesday about 11:15 a.m.
An alert was issued just after 5 p.m.
Police said early Wednesday that the woman had been located about 10 p.m. Tuesday in a Dairy Queen restaurant on Quadra Street, where she had reportedly been for eight hours.
