An incident involving a reportedly distraught individual armed with a knife in downtown Victoria was resolved early Monday after hours of crisis negotiation, Victoria police said.
The incident began about 6:15 p.m. Sunday with reports that an individual armed with a knife was making concerning remarks and stabbing the ground in the area of Pandora Avenue and Vancouver Street.
The area was blocked off with yellow tape and police cars for several hours and nearby businesses were partially evacuated as officers responded.
