The James Bay Urgent and Primary Care Centre will be closed to in-person visits on Thursday due to a planned power outage.

The power is being temporarily shut off at the James Bay facility to allow for construction work in a nearby building.

Island Health is advising patients to go to other urgent and primary care centres, including the downtown Victoria, Gorge, Esquimalt, North Quadra and West Shore sites.

Island Health said James Bay clinical staff will be re-deployed to other urgent and primary care centres.

The James Bay centre is expected to resume normal operations at 8:30 a.m. on Friday.
