Lochside Elementary School is expected to remain closed Wednesday after being shut down this week due a broken water main.
“We regret the continuing inconvenience this has caused,” the Saanich School District said in a statement. “Necessary repairs are ongoing with the goal of opening the school as soon as possible. Please visit the school website for the most up-to-date information.”
A letter sent to the school community said work is continuing around the clock to make repairs to the Royal Oak Drive facility.
“Should we not be able to open the school Thursday, parents/guardians can expect their child’s teacher to connect with them by the end of the day Wednesday regarding learning opportunities,” the letter said.
