Resurfacing has been postponed for the northbound lane of the Malahat between Finlayson Arm Road and Tunnel Hill.
The work was supposed to take place from 10 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Saturday, but wet weather has led to a change of plans.
It will now happen late next week.
A travel advisory with the official date will be issued by the Ministry of Transportation.
