RCMP have made an arrest after a woman’s windshield was smashed with an axe on Comox Lake Road last week.
A 33-year-old Cumberland man was arrested on Aug. 9 and was held for court. He has been charged with mischief and assault with a weapon.
Comox Valley RCMP said the man has since been released pending his next court appearance, scheduled for Aug. 29.
The investigation is ongoing, police said.
A woman was camping in her vehicle along Comox Lake Road, between the Cumberland and Comox Lake, on Aug. 6 when a car pulled up and a man stepped out and hit her windshield with an axe.
