One person was taken to hospital after suffering a medical emergency while driving and crashing their car.
The vehicle clipped a short bus and drove into the path of two other vehicles before coming to rest in a driveway in the 1000 block of Burnside Road West, near Grange Avenue, about 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
The driver was transported to hospital.
“It looks like he suffered some sort of medical event while driving,” said Saanich Police Sgt. Jereme Leslie.
Traffic was diverted from the area as police, firefighters and B.C. Ambulance paramedics responded.
