Saanich police have some new details to help them in the search for 37-year-old Trish Marie Wood, who was reported missing on Feb. 12.
Her family has not heard from her since late December, and said it is unusual for her to be out of contact for so long.
Wood moved to the Saanich area about six months ago, and is thought to originally be from Hamilton, Ont. Saanich police Sgt. Steve Eassie said there are concerns about her well-being since she is likely on the street.
She is believed to have been spending time with a man identified as Chad Rushton.
Wood and Rushton appear to have left B.C. and headed to Alberta, spending time in Red Deer as recently as January.
Wood is five-foot-two and about 120 pounds with long blond hair. Both of her ears have multiple earrings and she has a number of tattoos, including a butterfly on her back and writing on her feet.
