Saanich police are asking for the public’s help in locating a 70-year-old Montreal man whose rental motorhome was located Friday at China Beach, where it is believed to have been for a week.
Jean-Michel Cabanes had picked up the motorhome in Saanich with plans to travel around the Island and was due to return it Tuesday, but failed to do so.
Cabanes did not get on his flight home to Montreal on Thursday, and his family is very concerned for his well-being, police said.
Cabanes, who was last seen Oct. 14 in Saanich, is described as white, six-foot-two and 240 pounds with grey hair. He speaks fluent English with a French accent.
