Nanaimo RCMP have arrested a 34-year-old man in connection with a robbery at a gas bar almost a month ago.

A man with his face covered and holding what might have been an imitation gun approached a clerk at the gas bar March 7 and demanded money. He ran off after being given cash.

Police said the man was arrested at his home, where a search turned up a replica handgun, about a kilogram of marijuana and a small quantify of a powdery substance that has yet to be analyzed.

Todd Richard Growbosky was arrested and later released. He is scheduled to appear in court April 30.

More arrests are expected.
