The Greater Victoria School District hosts an open house Wednesday to discuss changing the name of George Jay Elementary.
The event runs from 6-8:30 p.m. in the gymnasium at George Jay, 1118 Princess Ave.
It follows an online survey about the renaming that ran for two weeks and closed Oct. 31.
Renaming the school came up after concerns were raised that George Jay, who chaired the school board from 1907 to 1934, pursued a segregationist agenda for Chinese-Canadian students.
