A person was taken to hospital from Goldstream Provincial Park after falling at Niagara Falls on Saturday morning.
B.C. Emergency Health Services said that it dispatched two units to Niagara Falls in Goldstream Park shortly before 10:30 a.m. and transported one patient to hospital.
Langford Mayor Scott Goodmanson, who was briefed on the incident by Langford Fire Rescue, said the person had fallen at Niagara Falls and was taken to hospital with a head wound.
Langford Fire Rescue deputy chief Scott Davidson said fire crews were initially called to the Niagara Canyon to assist with a water rescue.
RCMP and paramedics were already on scene assisting the person, who was on the rocks when fire crews arrived, he said.
The person was partially in the water at one point, he said.
Niagara Falls in Goldstream Provincial Park is 47.5 metres tall, according to B.C. Parks.
It’s unclear at what height the person had fallen from, Davidson said.
